As the second part of the JHSC certification process, Sector Specific Certification assists JHSC members with issues particular to their work environment. To complete Certification Part Two, both management and worker members of the JHSC must receive training in the significant hazards found in their workplace.
The program will enable participants to effectively recognize and assess these sector specific hazards, as well as outline methods for controlling them. Participants will also learn about relevant legislation, standards and guidelines.
Note: After completing JHSC Certification Part 2, you must complete JHSC Certification Refresher before 3 years have passed, and every 3 years thereafter, to maintain your certification status.
Who's This Course for?
Appropriate for the Municipal sector, this program is the second part of the training process for individuals to be certified under guidelines established and enforced by the Ministry of Labour. Workplaces that regularly have 20 or more employees must have at least two personnel that have completed the certification training. To complete the Certification program, you must receive training in the significant hazards found in their workplace. • Slips, Trips and Falls
